Barbecuing often causes charcoal stains. They are made faster than removed. We try to get them first away by washing in warm soapy water. If that is not so good, then we treat the charcoal stain with sodium (5%), and the charcoal stain still has not disappeared, we call a mixture of equal parts ammonia and hydrogen peroxide (3%) to help. An old apron put on the clothing prevents possible annoyance.
